I experienced this myself back in the 90s while studying at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Now, thirty years later, I have decided to bring this timeless repertoire finally to the stage. My inner voice whispered to me, "Iiro, now is the time!" On bass, I selected Kaisa Mäensivu, a passionate artist living in New York City who immerses herself in this style of jazz and performs regularly in the scene. For the drums, I chose Morten Lund, a talented musician who truly understands the American jazz tradition.
