The ACT Agency was founded in 2017 under the name Tambour Music Management as a division of the ACT Company. The main focus is to create artistic concepts, develop musicians' careers and curate unique live formats. The ACT Agency books and organizes around 500 concerts per year - from renowned clubs to all major festivals and the largest concert halls. The international roster consists of both ACT label artists and artists from outside the label. When The ACT Agency was launched, the musical focus was on jazz and jazz-related music. Since September 2024, The ACT Agency has also been active in the field of classical music. A special focus here is on instrumental and chamber music.
Founder and Managing Director of The ACT Agency is Andreas Brandis. He initially worked as a musician and composer for a decade, followed by more than 15 years in high-ranking positions at labels such as Universal Music, ECM Records and Deutsche Grammophon. Since 2015, Andreas Brandis has been managing ACT, founded by Siggi Loch in 1992, and has expanded it into a 360° brand that covers almost all areas of the modern music business, from label, marketing, promotion, publishing, synch and licensing to booking, concert production and management. In addition, Andreas Brandis leads the renowned Alfred Toepfer Foundation's Concerto21 summer academy, which supports up-and-coming artists from classical music, jazz and their border areas in their artistic and professional development.
The ACT Agency team is led by Patrick Weißenfels (Head of Artists & Concerts) in close collaboration with Jolanda Vujasinovic (Senior Artist & Concert Manager Jazz) and Pierre Maiwald (Senior Artist & Concert Manager Classical / New Repertoire) - all with many years of experience in the international live business.
