We all know that Emile Parisien, the saxophonist who studied (in every sense of the word) at Marciac College, has become one of Europe's leading exponents of contemporary jazz in its improvised dimension, where taking risks with musicians of his caliber leads to moments of intensity and complicity that remain engraved in our memories. Having incorporated a few electronic effects into its sound palette, the quartet's sound has changed without compromising the creative fearlessness that characterizes its DNA. So, when an institution like Toulouse's Orchestre du Capitole lends its symphonic line-up to these impressive constructions of the moment, we can only speculate favorably. And we can count on the unquestionable devotion to music and the respect that the acrobatic acrobats and the conservators of fine writing have for each other under the direction of David Greilsammer.
