Simon Oslender Trio

groove trio art

Simon Oslender (keyboards) | Claus Fischer (bass) | Jérôme Cardynaals (drums)

In addition to his acclaimed albums "About Time" (2020) and "Peace Of Mind" (2022) on the Leopard label, the pianist, keyboardist and organist also demonstrates an artistic maturity on stage that his young age would not suggest. In the multi-layered sound world of his trio, he presents melodic, catchy original compositions and energetic improvisation at the highest level.
With bass legend Claus Fischer and congenial Dutch drummer Jérôme Cardynaals, Oslender has found two close friends and musical brothers in spirit - a combination that promises exuberant joy of playing, deep grooves and boundless creativity.
Once entering the scene as a great talent on the Hammond organ, Simon Oslender, born in 1998, has carved out an impressive career in recent years.

Today, he is considered one of Germany's most promising young artists and tours worldwide as a member of the various bands of exceptional drummer Wolfgang Haffner and the current formation of saxophone icon Bill Evans. Other musical accolades include performances, tours and productions with Nils Landgren, Randy Brecker, Steve Gadd, Dr Lonnie Smith, Will Lee, Thomas Quasthoff, the WDR Big Band, Max Mutzke and many more.
Born in Leverkusen, Claus Fischer is one of the most sought-after European bassists in the fields of jazz, funk and rock. In the course of his impressive career, his grooving playing has already formed the foundation for the bands of Chaka Khan, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour and Don Grusin.
Jérôme Cardynaals is regarded as one of the most creative drummers of his generation. Born in the Netherlands, he combines his deep love of New Orleans music with modern influences to create his very own sound.
