Passacaglia

contemporary

Adam Bałdych, violion | Leszek Możdżer, piano

Adam Bałdych and Leszek Możdżer are two of Polish jazz's biggest export hits. They operate at the interface between improvised and classical music and meticulously explore the relationships between these two worlds.

With Passacaglia, they finally reunite after over a decade.

Passacaglia is electrifying. The unbridled musical dialogue seduces from the very first notes. With a Renaissance violin, two grand pianos (tuned 442Hz and 432Hz!) and a prepared upright piano, Bałdych and Możdżer create a world full of balanced beauty. Noble chamber music, but also piled up in turbulent, improvisational dialogues saturated with intense emotion.
